VPN question?

Currently with Nord but thinking about switching to ProtonVPN, mostly just use the VPN for accessing geo blocked content.
Anyone have any user feedback for proton?
Also any other suggestions for a solid VPN, not looking for any of the free services.

What don't you like about NordVPN?

No experience with ProtonVPN, but I use Private Internet Access. Happy with their throughput as well as their global presence. They have port forwarding if you run applications that need inbound access behind the VPN.

My complaints about nord is that their price keeps creeping up, not open source , they collect user data for marketing and i hear that they make it so hard to cancel your sub that they have some class actions against them for this.
Reading that Proton is a better alternative and looking if anyone here has any experience or feedback about them.

used nord for a long while. then had no need and price too high.
impressed with proton

I've also had PIA for a long time. When I signed up, they checked all the important to me boxes (no logging, multiple access points, torrent proxy, reasonable price, multiple devices allowed without paying more, etc).

Another vote for PIA. Been using them for a long time without issue.
Pricing is also very stable and reasonable.

NordVPN was also hacked a while back, and more recently there is another issue.
I just get the sense they have ****** off somebody, or the community doesn't like them or the service.

I had PIA for many years, no issues and seamless service. A couple of years ago my virus software Malwarebytes began to offer a VPN, so I switched to that just for convenience purposes.

Nord have deals every other day it seems. I locked into some longer term stupid cheap deal a while back. No issues with them so far and have been using them for years. Look out for another deal. I found Nord had more servers than PIA when a service I wanted was being geoblocked agressively.
