So I heard we are allowed to buy goods from south of the boarder up to $200 for 24 hours or less. Anyone confirm this? It would be nice not to worry about paying duties every shopping trip.

All of the following items can be imported both duty-free and tax-free:
  • 200 cigarettes;
  • 50 cigars or cigarillos;
  • 200 grams (7 ounces) of manufactured tobacco; and
  • 200 tobacco sticks.
