Have two on order for OVC presumably already sold. I'll admit I'm pretty excited to see them arrive.
The Ural Neo 500 is a new, more modern and affordable sidecar motorcycle aimed at bringing Ural to a wider audience.

It replaces the brand’s legacy formula with a ~450cc liquid-cooled parallel twin, lighter handling, and updated styling with modern features. Unlike legacy Urals, it’s designed for everyday use and easier riding, not just rugged adventure.

Expected to arrive in 2026, it should come in at a much lower price point than current models—making it the most accessible Ural yet.

Could be interesting 🤔

Think I see some Aprilia design language on it:

Can a 500 propel the bike a sidecar and a passenger easily? Without the rig it’s not too much of an issue.
Depends on what your expectations are. Pass a few more cars and make your exit off the 401?
Or enjoy the 80kph backroads.

Now you see the pics.
- boxy fender/fork cover??
- uber wide upper fairing/tank combo
- the bulbous can with oddly the only silver or chrome on it

None of this works for me.

Just a reminder that the claimed performance of the current 749cc motor, from Ural themselves, is 42 hp. It is a wacky, warmed over version of a Soviet reverse engineered pre-war BMW R71. There are some fascinating operating restrictions to help avoid overheating the motor.

I understand the appeal of having such a powerplant in your motorcycle. I do think Ural having an alternate powerplant is a good idea... and it should not be difficult for them to at least match what they are currently getting.

The exhaust certainly has me puzzled.

Watched some first rides of production units sent to USA for evaluation and certification. The new engine seems to be well received, provides adequate power and performance. Not a race bike by any means but can accelerate going up a hill.

You working at a dealership that sells these?

If Honda can squeeze 47hp out of their 500cc motor...I'm sure that Ural can build / source a motor that provides something similar.

Hopefully the 500cc Ural will be able to haul this thing with the added weight of fuel, gear, and passenger...it'll be great for side roads, but 400 series Highway cruiser it will not be over long distances.
