Up North Trip - Lake Superior / Northern Lights!

If you have travelled Canada, you will have seen landscapes like what you find in Iceland, with one difference - trees.

Before the Vikings found it, Iceland was about 1/2 forest covered, today it's mostly barren, tree stands are few and far between.
Plenty of freshly planted trees there, but yes...obviously it was baren.

My point was, what is the size of canada vs iceland. In 8 hours of driving you can drive end to end in iceland and see every environment imaginable. Canada? Unlikely.
