Two dead following motorcycle crash in Burlington - Guelph Line / Mainway

I was riding in that area with my brother just before that happened. As we pulled into my driveway we heard the sirens and were wondering what that was all about. So sad to hear this. RIP to both rider and passenger. Way to many accidents this year, way to many lives lost.

By Staff The Canadian Press [/h]BURLINGTON, Ont. – A man and a woman, both aged 31, were killed Thursday night when their motorcycle crashed in Burlington, Ont.
Halton Region police say the Waterdown man lost control of the motorcycle as he tried to turn left from Guelph Line onto Mountainside Dr. just after 9 p.m.
A car made contact with the motorcycle in the intersection, but police say they don’t know if this is why the motorcyclist lost control.
The 42-year-old Hamilton man driving the car was not injured and police released him from the scene.
Police have not yet released the names of the motorcyclist or his female passenger, who were both declared dead at the scene.
Guelph Line was closed in both directions for about six hours.

Just saw the news story on cp24, the cobalt was after the fact. There is speculation that the motorcycle may have collided with a truck causing the accident. Not confirmed but police are investigating.
