trade a ninja for a versys?

Former Versys owner here. Congrats on the new bike. One mod that must be done is the R1 rear shock upgrade. It made this awesome bike even better. This bike was an amazing touring bike that I could ride all day long. I have owned both the Versys & Ninja 650 and hands down the Versys was the better bike. The Ninja might have impressed more girls, but for sheer performance and comfort, the Versys kicked it's *** all day long. I did 22,000 km in the year I had her with no issues. Once I can afford another bike, the 2014 abs will be on the shopping list.

Thanks Killerkeith. That is what i was hoping for. Long extended saddle time without being in pain at the end. Tho i think i end up with a "runners high" on the return leg of a
800+km 8+hr ride. While i agree the 2013 Ninja looked great, It was not comfortable on long rides. Especially with the schizophrenic upright seating / knee bend.

as for the R1 shock swap out. Will wait a season b4 i think about things like that. I have other things to add for this upcoming season. 33L Givi topcase. Rear spools. Engine guard / frame sliders.
And possbily changing out the stock tires to something like the Pirelli Angel GT

Just to update/ got a call 2wks ago ... some of my ordered parts are in. Wasnt in too big a hurry to go in as they have to be installed on bike. (engine guard. Givi box. slider spools) And bike not expected until December.
So i headed to dealer today just to check things out. Turns out one of the items was backordered but item in stock now and is on its way.

my sales rep also says.. "your bike is here" after i regained consiousness i went to look at it. Looks fantastic. Cant wait to get it home. Took a couple of quick iphone pix

Congrats on purchase and subdued delivery of facts. Panigale buyers could learn a thing or 2.
