Topcase box

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good top case box for a Kawasaki Ninja 300??? It's a 2014 and its the EX300 ABS special edition version. It's my first one buying so looking for some feedback.

Thanks,

K.B

Lots of options from givi.ca will depend on what you want to put in it i guess and then figure out what size you need from that. There not cheap but you can always move it to your next bike.

Givi or Kappa, latter is Givi's budget line. Buy the biggest top case you can afford, 50L plus. It's going to be ugly as sin regardless, may as well go big or go home. You'll never think that you should have gotten a smaller one.

I have an E52 and adore it.

50l top box on a ninja 300????
Well that's one way to get it to wheelie lol.
OP I don't recommend a 50l box on that bike, that's ridiculously big unless you plan on doing some weekend trips.

Smallest case Givi makes is 33L, so a 52L is only a bit more than 50% larger. As I said, they look ridiculous regardless the size, may as well get the practicality.

52L fills up very fast, could not imagine going smaller. A set of Frogg Toggs, spare pair of gloves, gym bag, and laptop will fill it up.

Ok thanks for the feedback. I'm looking probably for one that could fit one helmet. It's not for the helmet really it's for my lunch bag. I could just bring in my helmet into work so no biggie there. I know some people would say a backpack but the truth is I do have on but I carry my macbook, iPad, and other devices in that bag so that's not going to work for me.

Smallest hard top box givi makes is 23l not 33
Anyway have you looked at tail bags? Most are expandable to fit what you need.
Also I've seen some passenger seats that unzip and serve double duty at tail bags. Probably your neatest and easiest solution.
I know a guy that did a weekend trip on a passenger seat/storage.

I have a 33l Givi top box on my ST. It is a smaller unit, but easily holds one full coverage helmet. Great if you don't like carrying your helmet around when you get where you are going and gives you somewhere to put stuff that you buy while you are out. I used to use a tail bag on other bikes, but this is far better and waterproof.

This is perfect for you, ditch the mounting arms and for $60 you get case and plate. thats a deal rite there.

Hey Malks. Thanks and I'll check it out.

Hey boooya. Thanks for the tip and I will definitely check out the second one. It's in my area very close to where I live.

IF they make a mount for your bike (it's a topcase rack), it will be the cleanest one you can get. It's virtually invisible on my SV and removes in 60 seconds completely.
i use it for a Givi V46 case and the smaller case (holds 1 helmet) swaps back and forth easily with a quick lock adaptor plate.

That second case in the link above is the same smaller case I have. It's excellent.

I've put about 70L on my RS125 for a week trip and it was fine.

45 l works fine for me. Lockable is important, especially going to different destinations in the City where I don't want to be carrying a helmet around. Can fit a helmet, boots (change to dress shoes when I'm going to a meeting) overpants and sometimes a jacket if its warm. Just big enough for 2 helmets.

Ditto. Luggage is always an ugly compromise. Plus, that bigger top-box will be useful when you switch to a newer bike. Buy once, cry once.
