I don’t buy pa stuff that takes high torque or impact. My tool wall of shame reminds me of that.
A better option…

On sale for 40% off ($99 down from $160) however I find the MSRP on a lot of crappy tire stuff to be inflated.

There are times when it's worth paying the premium for high quality tools. Sockets and wrenches need to have close tolerances or you pay for it in stripped fasteners.Me too.
Here's one of my PA 10mm wrenches - great stuff - until you need to use it....

Yep ... you don't want these.View attachment 78939
I've yet to see those ... they actually exist?Unless you actually have 12-point or triple-square fasteners.
Ya, you do. The only time you need 6 point is high torque. 12 point are easier to land, particularly in tight spots because you can seat them every 30 degrees.Yep ... you don't want these.View attachment 78939
That's a sure way to strip the nut or bolt head if it's on tight but if not it's a good option true.Ya, you do. The only time you need 6 point is high torque. 12 point are easier to land, particularly in tight spots because you can seat them every 30 degrees.
I rarely use 6 points - just for high torque or rusty fasteners, sometimes on larger nuts and bolts.
Harley brake calipers secured by M10 12 pointI've yet to see those ... they actually exist?
Trying to wrap my head around how a 6 mm thread could do damage like that to a wrench.Me too.

This.I used to use dewalt when doing carpentry but kept blowing gearboxes so I moved on to red for most cordless things. They held up much better (with a few exceptions like a sawzall that doesn't like to work).
I wish I had that power ratchet on hand today when I swapped my rear tire, which happened to involve removing the exhaust and swingarm - twice. That, or a 3/8" drive T-handle. Halfway into it I started wondering about going to Home Depot to buy it.. but my wheel was off.
Pretty much everything Maximum or Mastercraft branded goes on sale for 40% very regularly. As do all their ratchet sets. If it's not on sale today, it's probably going to be on sale next week. Or the week after.A better option…

It's still listed at that price on the HD website.
Are there other HD deals?

There is a price history feature on amazon.ca ATM. Thinking it won't be there long but it can be eye opening to view the price history for the previous year of products before clicking buy.
If it is a discrecional buy it is nice to know that you are not buying it at the top of the market
