to the rider on the black bike (not sure what it was)

Yes it is, you will cry too when you become a victim of cagers rage, due to the stereotype other bikes put on the rest of us. I was once purposely braked check by a cager, I don't know why he did it, He is wrong , I am right, yada yada yada........ bottom line is they are in a cage and we on 2 may become road meat.

This vid make me do a double face palm http://youtu.be/BDMiW3-GsjI

Funny how you don't know me and assume I have was never hit by a car. I had a zx6r totaled when I was hit from behind by a minivan while I was waiting at a red light. **** happens

You don't see me here crying every time someone cuts me off or does something illegal...

anyways, carry on I am out

I really hope your joking.
this isnt very inticing.

i thought riders looked out for each other?

Respectable riders? Seriously? The only real advice you'll get is 'ride like you are invisible'. It will save your life one day. Pretty much expect any car on our awesome GTA roads to drive over your bike.

he is looking out for you by saying ride like your invisible...cagers almsot always sayy ''oh i didn't see that bike there'' after an accident.

Did you get that on camera and post it to youtube by any chance? I saw a video a while bike where a biker was just sitting at a red light and out of nowhere his bike exploaded underneath him.

My apologies if my statement was assuming and agree that ****** do happen , I'm just making a point that whatever happen in the road, in case of Car vs Bike, biker will most likely loose.
We can show our rage by flipping them off but if they retaliate we are still with the highest risk. A lost limb cannot be paid by anyone's time in jail.

Yeah if you ride like an ******* I don't blame them. Yesterday a group of 6-8 guys were speeding on the highway, lane splitting and riding on the shoulder lane. I didn't even see them coming until they passed me. I'm not saying there aren't idiot drivers out there who are too busy on their phones to pay attention to the road, but I can see why that excuse is so popular.

This is also alarms me, as a "soon to be" rider i dont want to be automatically hated on by cage drivers.
what can we do as respectable riders to change our image in the public eye?
it definitely excites me to see so many bikes on the road but people like in the first post make me a little pessemistic.
Haha I give cagers a nod or a "thank you" wave when they let me pass them. I look at the f**ker right in the eyes to let them know that I *appreciate* their acknowledgment of my existence.

Getting rear ended by inattentive drivers at traffic stop could be a whiplesh if u are in a cage but quite deadly if u are on a bike. Other than keeping an eye on the rearview mirror...its not much we can do??

You can get out of the way if you see them coming? You should be in a tire track and in first, so you coudl swerve aroudn the car in front (unless you're at the front). That's why you shouldn't stop as far up as you can, always leave room aroudn you when you're stopped.

Slightly helpful, always keep your brake on so maybe that small light will get their attention.

And don't worry about the reputation....who cares? How does that affect you? Cars act stupid around bikes regardless, it's not like they do it because they think bikers are jerkwads.

Yeah while I was waiting in line yesterday at about 3pm to make the left off Eglinton (eastbound) onto Allen (northbound) some rider on a baby blue cruiser passes everyone that's been waiting in line for like 10 minutes and then squeezes in right at the end by turning beside a car, without even signalling, then proceeded to cut people off all over the Allen without signalling, again. Ironically, I caught up to him without pulling any stupid crap that makes car drivers hate us.

What other riders do on the road does reflect poorly on the rest of us. Most car drivers act in a way indicating they expect me to ride like a jackass. I'm assuming because of what they normally see us doing.

We are not all one. I dont represent other bikers and they dont represent me. With that said there is no shortage of bad drivers in cars, trucks and on motorcycles.

+1
Judge my riding habits, don't lets others habbits ruin mine

This is my signature
