found some random ones, not sure who they are

Nope, none of those is me :( I was in the faster group on Sat, and look something like this (pic from another day).

Oh no, this sucks. Hope you're ok and not hurt! I personally thought "oopsie" is more like a tank slapper or a slide or something, didn't know it was a "holy crap" moment for ya :(

n yes I have watched this video and the original version atleast 5 times now hahaha. I even have the book and several tip sites like kevin shwantz Suzuki school bookmarked. I Am trying the hangoff and I find it really akward in that last part of the track. my knees are screwed up from soccer. If you look at Foggy too his positioning isn't conventional in the slightest yet he made it work. Ago you could say was a crossed up rider. I just wonder why I feel comfortable like that hahahaha. It is interesting though what I see in the pics anmd feel like i'm doing on the bike is much different. Oh well practice practice. On another note street riding has been ruined for me after 4 track days i'm bored outta my mind atleast riding in Niagara region.

Hi 636ninjadude, we spoke quite a bit on Saturday when the day was done. I was pitted with bjturner riding my friends white CBR600RR and I'm from St Catharines.

You can look at riders all day and ask questions as to why their style/position worked, but at the end of the day it's what you feel comfortable with.

Having said that, seeing that you are a new track rider, I suggest that you try other body positions, such as leaning off more. Only that way you can say for sure you prefer one position of the other. Perhaps you will find a medium between a few positions, then you will have your own style that is comfortable to you. Do not get hung up on "why they can do it and I can't"

While you are learning, the most important thing is to keep an open mind. If you see me at the track again don't hesitate to ask me questions.

I am fine thanks for asking, just bruised on my left arm only so nothing major. The poor bike had it worse than me :(
This is why body positioning is very important and also staying focused on the track and not a scrapping sound lol

Anybody know this guy? We met him and his wife a couple of weeks ago and I have pics of him and forget to get his contact info. He was there on Sat and said he was coming back on Monday. Red GSXR 1000.

I will send him an email tomorrow letting him know about this thread.

Unless you were in the beginner group, I see no problem with that pass into T2. The bike with the yellow wheels was off the gas way sooner than needed......the camera bike "outbraked" him, for lack of a better term (racing term used at trackday,LOL)

If indeed it was beginner group, then that's a bad spot to pass riders who aren't used to being prepared for unexpected stuff....... before the apex, at a good rate of speed.

Woot! Bar came in and I got my axel sliders also so no more 'ghetto' rigging to use my rear stand :)

And in just under 3 hours later my bike is good to ride the streets again! :)

Get Dov to put it on all day and he makes sure you have spools for next time, such a nice hubby. :)
