Yeah yeah, I get it, you want to defund the OPP's piggies riding squigglies program. Cool cool. But your comparison is apples to oranges.
Look back at the part you cut out: Only 50% of India's population having access to safely managed, non-contaminated drinking water. That means 700,000 million people don't. It kills 200,000 people in India every year.
Let's not pretend Ontario has the same problems as India. Because it if it did, we'd be doing the equivalent of wiping out the entire population of Toronto by 2040. But that's not an issue here. So while we both may agree OPP's use of their budget is an absolute farce and a disgrace to Ontario taxpayers, let's not pretend that Ontario's problems are anywhere close to India's.
And sure, you can buy several Royal Enfield's in India for the cost of a Harley, but you can also buy hundreds of $20 Lifestraw water purifiers for the cost of one Royal Enfield.
500+ people will die today because they didn't get access to a $20 straw. Like I said, India what the **** are you doing?
When my brother was a M/C cop for Toronto 50 years ago he said it cost more to put a Harley on the road than a squad car. The squad car ran 12 months a year.
Imagine the cost if they wore ATGATT.
Both OPP and Toronto M/C cops trained at Ashbridges Bay. OPP would show off that they could ride through beach sand by getting off the bike and, using the hand clutch, help push the bike.
Toronto would do a very slow ride through the parking lot using the foot clutch and with their free hand, wave to the OPP.
Bro figured TPS management liked the foot clutch because it kept the officers from scuffing their boots and also let the riders wave to the crowds while on parade. Isn't that what management is all about, image and theatrics.

That's something I've always wondered about ever since I came across those organizations that let you adopt a foreign child for a coupe of bucks a month.
Why should we care about what happens in countries like India, Africa etc?
Not our problem if they want to breed like rabbits...if their own governments dont care enough to support their own people...why should we?

The cynics say every dollar we send in foreign aid to feed their poor is a dollar the governments of those countries can divert to the private wealth of their leaders or to the thug armies used for oppressing the enslaved.
If any of those countries have resources, those are already sold to or contracted out to wealthy nations.
