It's reasonable because it's the asking price. You can get it cheaper. With that said, I wouldn't buy it.
You can find a 2003-4 Japanese 600cc for $2,000-2500.
I know because I was just looking for Kawi 636s and Suzi 750s.

I realize it is an older bike, but it looks original and well cared for, with only 18000 kms. Its not often you see these old srad's in clean unmolested condition. $2000 isn't a bad starting point.. at this price cond is all. worth a look see maybe.

I agree you can do a lot worse then a clean SRAD for $2000. A blue/white SRAD or green ZX7R were the dream bikes for me growing up.

Had a couple of SRADs...blue/white 98 and a 99 track one. Was fun. Too bad ins. is stupid.

Judging by the M/C I have seen that exact bike before. It was a POS four years ago (would not pass a safety), I guess it's possible the gremlins have been evicted

That looks like a ZZR250 to me, which they stopped selling after 2002. The engine doesn't look disassembled to me, perhaps just disconnected to some degree. Since you could verify the year pretty fast just by looking at the VIN plate, I would say the owner has no idea whatsoever about what they are selling.
