If you put aside the fear of riding in traffic (which is real and justified), you don't need much fitness to ride downtown. Often speeds are low and you get frequent breaks at lights. Ime, it is less effort than walking a similar route. Obviously, in some locations there are hill climbs that are pretty rough but ebikes (I mean pedelecs) are a great fit for those.
I would happily use mass transit if it didn't cost virtually the same amount as using my car, while also costing me at least double the amount of time. And I do work downtown, while living in the suburbs, and never had the opportunity for a job remotely like the one that I have now prior to that. At least I currently get to work from home, 3 days a week, so I don't need to deal with that crapshow nearly as much anymore.

Those are hta charges. I've never heard of insurance denying a claim on an hta conviction.
For me it's more about personal curiosity as I haven't seen anything mentioned about the other vehicle, apart from the guy who provided the dashcam video to CP24 mentioning that traffic was slowed because of a previous accident.
Oh good. He will have to mug someone when he gets out to be able to buy a new gun from his supplier. We're safe until then.
That one is interesting. Health and safety basically blocks the trucker from doing it manually as fall-arrest is legally required. A reasonable solution would be to require every location where more than X trailers parked to have the arch to clean the top (or alternate safe and effective solution). They are very rare right now. I know of one in Barrie.
And, until then, I'll be staying well away from transports during winter. You have no idea how many times I'm had to swerve across a lane or two in order to avoid a 6 foot plus slab of ice that gets blown off the roof of a trailer.
I know a bit about snow and ice. The problem has become very complex since we stopped depending on bungalows for accommodation and Conestoga wagons for transportation of goods.
