I've used both in the past, however now a days I only ride with a backpack. If you spend the money on a good pack like I did, you forget your even wearing one... plus it goes on and off with ease.

Neither - This is the best thing I have ever bought and it has a strap to be carried like a back pack
Goes on top of the passenger seat so you don't have the annoyance of something bulky in your tank
The brand is Axio and this is what it looks like on the bike
I have put in my Gerbie jacket, a sweater and a pair of gloves and a bunch of cables and miscellaneous stuff inside
And it comes with a net in case inside is full and you need extra space
Yup, this is what I have. Pricey item but it actually holds more stuff than you think. Very functional item.

If thats all I were carrying I'd google large fanny packs because I don't wear size 15 shoes, eat like a pig and my phone is cellular. ymmv.
