Your friend probably picked up a 1200 and not the 1700.
This ones a bit overpriced but not by ridiculously. I have yet to see a 2009+ Vmax 1700s posted for less than 12k and the only one on Kijiji at this time is $18000 from a dealer.
they are as rare as B-Kings and MT01s. Yamaha loves weirdly cool bikes

7300+600 destination+tax equals 9000. Not sure what planet they are living on if they think they can get that much back. They'd be super lucky to get 7k back imo (and even that would need buyer to play games to save the tax). Maybe this is another "i tried to sell it but there were no buyers"?

I bought mine for 6k and sold for $6500! Silly me leaving 4K out there.
