I don't get it.

IMHO i think Team Canada is better off with a 100% St Louis than with a 70% Stamkos.

I don't know why they're playing this game. I respect Stamkos as one of the best in the world right now,
but he is Hurt, so clearly there are other, healthy players who should replace him. St Louis being First on the list in my opinion, being the best player (highest point producer) in the league over the past 2 seasons.

I too agree. I'd think 100 percent St. Louis would be a better performer then a 70 percent stamkos.

I still don't know why they didn't pair St. Louis and Stamkos together?
St. Louis deserves to be there and will have better chemistry then Benn, Bergeron, I would also take a 70% Stamkos paired with St. Louis over a couple guys on the roster.
The only reason Kunitz is there is to play along side Crosby.

Kunitz with Crosby.... Amazing. Without Crosby, Kunitz would be watching the Olympics at home.
As you sAid above Jeff, would have been a great combo if yzerman would have got his head out of his ass

Yup there ya go. Stamkos ruled out and now who is going to replace him? Do they bring in a scorer because thats what obviously he does, or do they bring in st. louis who I think really deserves the shot.
 
I think St Louis has to go in, just has to.

He is dynamic. can score ANd make plays. Speed on open ice. I agree with above posts, he deserves it!
 
If Marty doesn't get picked again then how will Yzerman tell him? That would be a horrible conversation. I want Giroux to go (I'm a flyers fan) and I think if he didn't have such a crappy slow start to the season he would have made the roster. Due to how hot he has been since the slow start is why he is even on the short list.
 
St.Louis was the right choice. Was shocked he wasn't on the roster originally. Been one of the best players the past couple of seasons and on fire since he was snubbed. Apparently he wasn't liked that much by the coaching staff. Wouldn't be surprised if Yzerman pulled rank on this and told everyone else that there was no way he was telling St.Louis "sorry" a second time. Gotta feel bad for Stamkos though and you can't really replace a guy with that sort of natural fire power.
 
I'm surprised anyone is willing to replace Stamkos with the gong show it's turning out to be. Stray dogs wandering the hallways of the hotels. Tap water that looks like urine and may be dangerous to come in contact with.....

yea great news about St Louis. Definitely been top 4-5 points producers over past 5 years.

also, about Wendel Clark, lol well St louis' passion and the way he shows up to play every game kinda reminds me of Gilmour.

and Giroux, it is true, had it not been for the injury he suffered at beginning of season and slow start, he would've most likely been on the team to begin with. Eric steal as well probably.

indeed Stamkos is best finisher in the game today, and some analysts made a good point about the sheer intimidation of having that guy on the ice when you're the other team. but Truly St Louis deserves to be there.

what's with this let's keep Crosby happy thing? in that case then just take the pittburgh penguins.
seriously, why should Neal be considered. com'on, especially when talking Staal, Giroux and St Louis, Neal isn't even near that talent.
