Hey

I am looking for a new helmet and someone mentioned Soumy helmets. Anyone have experience with them?

Good? Over Priced? Garbage??

and do you know any local dealers that have them? I like to buy local as much as I can, plus I wanna try em on.

GP bikes has them. I've personally never had one or even tried one on so I can't comment on quality but I think have some of the nicest looking designs.

I bought an older one from Parker Bros., and loved the interior, weight and noise level, but I fog it up like mad when on the track and breathing heavy. I also found the chin bar a bit too close for comfort. I keep it as a spare and Wear my Shoei most of the time.

I've had their Spec 1R before and have an Apex now. I tried the Vandal but it feels noticably cheaper in quality. They're priced about the same as a Shoei or Arai but personally I like their designs better. They're also very light and have great aerodynamics so it's nice to wear on the highways. Build quality is great and materials for the inside feel nice. Only annoying feature is the tricky visor mechanism. Once you've switched them a few times it becomes easier though.

From what i heard its good aside from the noise. Gp had them on sale 43-4 mons ago for $100

I had medium vandal. Felt really tight I feel like its more for round headshape (could be wrong)

Love my suomy spec 1r extreme. Got it for a steal. Nothing to complain about, but remember its not about the name but how it fits you. I didn't like arai because it didn't fit my head well.

Spec 1R, ventilation is great but the noise level is more than average (I guess they go hand in hand).
The paint quality is fantastic, does not scratch or chip easily.
Very confortable interior

They seem good enough, I was thinking of getting one, but they don't fit my headshape at all. I know GP has them.

I loved my Vandal minus the noise from the front vents, but that can be fixed by turning them 180'
Pretty dam light too. Seems to fit round heads only tho.
