Sooooo JEALOUS!

Skin, skin, skin.....STFU you AGATT morons, obviously ya'll don't realise nothing can stop you from braking your bones. This is coming from a rider who wears bionic armour, and been in some serious accidents, i have nothing against people even if they wear tank tops, what i care about is if you CAN RIDE!

If you can ride the only crashing you have to worry about is watching out for cagers and pedestrians, dogs etc. If you spend time and money improving your riding skill instead of spending all that money to look like a faqing power ranger and riding like a goody two shoe on the streets whats the point of wearing all that gear? that looks more idiotic then a squid who can actually ride it hard, yea if he/she falls they will get facked up, but i still have more respect for them then the douschebags in power ranger costumes on the STREET riding around like their in a pit lane, keep that AGATT talk where it belongs, ON THE TRACK!

Im all for body armour, but most important is making sure you can RIDE... everything else is BS! I've seen guys never wear any armour, and run laps around these so called middle aged AGATTS, unless you're ghost rider on the streets AGATT is not necessary, riding skill IS!

You sir, need to calm down. No need to get all emo....ride in whatever you want, birthday suit, t-shirt, no pants, etc. it's your life, live it however you want. Knowing how to ride is a given dont you think?

lol no, im just tired of people trying to shove the wear all gear down peoples throats, everyone can decide for them selves. thats just the way i type, agressive.

Maybe you should type it in all caps next time for more effect.

Ahh...yes an ATGATT thread, I think the motorcycle season has officially started. On another note, people say I only gear up for long rides etc. Whether your trip is two minutes or two hours it only takes one second to go down. You are either a gear guy or you are not. BTW, it's your skin and your life, to each their own. People, just do what you want.

Since riding on the street is more dangerous than the track, why bother with leathers there? Flip-flops and tank top should be perfectly safe without road debris, suv's, dogs, women flashing boobies, etc.

I could care less what others wear, except when I see some guy in gear, riding with his pre-teen son that only has a helmet on. That bugs me.

even a low speed low side can hurt if you land on your hip with no abrasion damage....it hurts for a month.

Id rather sweat then bleed.

This is where difference between THAN and THEN pretty important. Have fun bleeding I guess lol

Telling someone to wear protective gear is the responsible things to do, what they choose to do with that info is 100% up to them.

But I wonder all these mad track skillz, how many times in MotoGP do you see them getting T-Bones by a old lady/man at a intersection, how many times in MotoGP do you see them getting rear ended at a stop by some tard (with mad driving skillz) while they are txt'ing to their "homie" about how "it's off da hook"...I wonder

At the end of the day, do what you want you are of no relation to me so I don't care another driver/rider off the road means more room for me, but as a responsible rider with or without skills use your head.

The older I get, the longer it hurts.

I like how people posting thing to the affect of "I wear lots of gear for my protection and that wearing a vest of inapropriate gear could result is less protection" is concluded by some in this thread to be "ZOMG. If u dont were Gearz u iz stupid and smell and will Die instantly u should be in pizon"

Gear will provide more protection than no gear. Either wear it or dont.
(dont wear a vest with no shirt under tho...its looks terrible)

lol awesomeness in this thread.

spending money on gear doesn't mean you don't spend time or money on riding skills....you're making it sound like either you're a squid who can ride or a gearhead who can't...the two things are mostly unrelated. Why not do both, be a good rider and have protection?

Thanks captain grammar ;)....
I'm more much smarter now in speaking Canada.

yeah $30 knee guards saved a nasty on my knee on a dirt track low side. As it was did not even feel it.

I'll ride gear appropriate - I want to be comfortable so on occasion it might be tshirt and shorts ( and helmet ) down to the pool - gloves optional.

Generally mesh jacket, knee guards and mesh gloves with knuckle armor covers off 90% of the riding conditions and weather.
The rest is for warmth or dry.

Son likes the form fitting armor shirts then whatever jacket he chooses....beginning to think thats a good approach as on the same low side my shoulder got hammered hard and an armored shirt under the jacket instead of the armor in the jacket might have saved some of that - if the join gets protected closely I think it's better and more comfortable than if the armor is in the jacket as it depends on the fit how close it covers the joints = arm and shoulder notably.

I'm not for overspending on gear - especially a noob.
Money better spent on training courses and in particular off road courses which are invaluable for street skills.

There is tons of good used gear on Kiji from the wannabes that found out it wasn't for them. 130-140 on the 401 surrounded by trucks can give some a lot of second thoughts. Not quite like they envisioned.
