So the start to my first riding season may be delayed

what size and colour did you order? where I work might have it in stock, then you don't have to wait. But it's probably not GP bikes fault, their supplier is probably waiting for stock from scorpion.

I agree it is probably not GP bike's fault for the delay, they seem to have a very good reputation and were knowledgable/helpful at the bike show. The salesman spent over 45 mins with me trying to get the perfect helmet.

There is a very good chance that you won't be riding by March 14th, helmet or not. The weather most likely won't be in your favour.

No, I have a penis and do not play for that team..

keith tries to get under everyone's skin, put him on ignore.

see ya parked @ TEL and S in a month or two =D

Shouldn't you be changing your username again soon?

Jevco is $200/month IF you've had your license for a year minumum.
Meloche Monnex is $168/month (But I get a special rate because im a YorkU student..call them and tell them where you work/go to school and see if they have a group rate available for you)

Ok, I'll say it since no one else has. Kudo's DOHC1! You set a goal and you achieved it. From what you said you are probably one of the most responsible 19 year old guys on this forum. So you got a bit amped up about your lid, big deal! I respect the fact that you are going about this in a serious and informed manner. Have fun, ride safe and all that ****.

Waited out the long winter, 2011 riding season, then long winter once again (need to hold my license for one full year before Jevco gives me reasonable rates).

I thought Jevco reduces the rate after a year of being insured, not a year of being licensed?

lol dude parking spot at TEL is like a Ninja 250 lot.

It takes a few mins to identify mine everytime.

Yeah wasn't gonna say anything lol

You'll see (if things don't change), bunch of ninjas, a white CBR125R, 3 GS500Fs (blue, black, black+**** ton of mods), ZX-6R, ZX-10R, CBR600RR, and sometimes an R6. We used to have a GSXR750 but I know the guy graduated last semester (was in my program).

You'll also find the dudes at school much friendlier and don't talk much (if at all) **** compared to this forum lol Must be because we're all younger and educated.

Nah, I've done my research for the past year or so due to wanting an upgrade.

John R Duffy, ad is above, will give you reduced insurance costs after having your license for a year starting from your M1. Same with nearly every other insurance company. The prices only start to differ (by thousands) when you get into sport bikes or "blacklisted" bikes.

Call them directly: the lady was nice enough to ask me why I wasn't puking at the initial 3300 quote, I told her it was normal cause I paid that last year, and then she said if I waited till April it would cost 1500 (I thought I had to wait till June because that's when I got my M2).

Bingo! Jevco drops rates after a year of you being LICENSED. Whether youre insured or not doesnt matter.

I think you would get additional discounts at the end of a year of being with them. I'm sure the discount would be much smaller compared to the 1-year-license anniversary, but still. I think that's why the prev guy is a little confused.

This exact situation happened to me when I started riding, I was dead set on having the specific Arai so I waited. And just picked up a cheapo helmet for under $100 to ride for the 2 weeks before it came in...

Ask GP bikes to tell you which supplier they order the helmet from, Ive had Parts Canada backorders before where they called me like a year later telling me the part finally came in...So you might want to cancel it and buy something that is actually in stock at the distributor
