I have the SH59X topcase (love it btw). It's $650 on the Shad Canada website but under $400Cdn on Euro retailers. I bought it from a Euro retailer and even after shipping/duty fee's I saved quite a bit.
 
I did the same. Bought 3 Shad cases and mounts from Spain. They shipped from Netherlands. Cost half of what they would have here.

Two years ago, I bought the SH38X panniers from FC-Moto. I think I paid around $600 CAD plus shipping, while Shad Canada's website had them listed for just under $1,000.
(Wow, they're now close to $1,200. Edit: it seems that price now includes the mounting brackets, so it's less of a worse deal.)


Unfortunately, FC-Moto didn't have the mounting brackets for the Tiger 660 in stock. So I checked a few other sites and found that ordering them from Shad USA was actually cheaper, with the caveat that I had to pick them up from a PO box in Buffalo.They sweetened the deal by throwing in a set of inner bags for free.

I hate this thread...... we should be able to source stuff at reasonable rates here.... but we can't.

I really try and shop local, but it is so hard to justify paying double for stuff.
 
I got a shad top case from studio cycle in 2023. It was in stock at the time not sure about now.

As for my shad... It's in Italy now. Sees daily action for one month a year so, still looks new, only 90 days on the road max though.
 
I like the Shad gear ...-2-3 year warranty and well crafted. Have a 34" top case on the CB500F
Does the job.

Kid had a complete Shad top case and seat on his FZ800 he took out west with me. as a good set up including the clothes drying rack which was very useful for drying wet riding gear ...was the shaky coast also the wet coast. Miss the brat - :cry:

I disagree with you, supermoto man.

I think the best value for money is Shad. IE cheaper than Givi, with adequate quality but not as good as the Italian brand.

If you want the same quality as Givi but similar prices to Shad you can go to Kappa. Which I believe it's Givi's low cost brand, with some of the products being exactly the same but with different logos.
 
Check out CarpiMoto.it for great prices on Givi. I got my GIVI case supports from them for my G650GS. They ship from Italy but it's no longer than anything I've ordered from Fortnine.

In general, if you're going to Italy... take a suitcase one size too big, or buy a suitcase while you're there. So many great Italian brands like Givi/Kappa, Alpinestars, Spidi, AGV, Airoh, Termignoni, Brembo, Dainese (although I hear they are falling out of favour over there lately) are way cheaper there. I bought so much Spidi gear from Coticelli Moto (Coticelli Moto – Accessori e Abbigliamento per Moto) on my last trip you would think I moved up two tax brackets lol

PS: Do not pay advertised/sucker prices. You make friends, you pay the friend price.
