i saw this at ct the other day. googled and youtubed afterwards. saw peeps spraying it directly in their bike's air intake (without the pod etc), while bike is running and revving. a lot of peeps have a lot of positive things to say about it.

so has anyone here actually used seafoam spray on their air intake?!

this is the spray version of that regular seafoam that you mix in your gas tank.

share please. thanks.

I spray it down into the throttle bodies and let it sit for about 15 mins to make sure most of the carbon is dissoved then start it up.

Yep. I use it to clean the carbs/throttle bodies.
I spray them down if i have the tank off, and also put seafoam in the gas tank as well.

Yeah, I've done it, nothing bad happened and seemed like throttle response was a bit better but could have been the placebo effect.

The only time you should be revving is when you're finished. I don't rev any of my motors. I keep spraying it until it sounds like it's going to die and then I shut it down. Once shut down, I spray some more down the throttle bodies and let it sit from 15 - 30 mins to let it disintegrate any carbon left behind.

After the set time I fire it up and the smoke show begins! Then you can rev the hell out of it until the smoke clears from the exhaust which is just the cleaner burning off in the motor. Your bike should run smoother and have better throttle response if the carbon has never been cleaned out.

I use Seafoam on my truck every year but I do that through the brake booster vacuum line. It improves my gas mileage and throttle response.

I've never seen an aerosol version of Seafoam, but I have poured it directly into my carbs and ran upwind while I proceed to smoke bomb the neighbourhood.

This isn't my vehicle, but you'll get the idea

They came out with the aerosal version last year. Not all of them carry it. Works better than WD40 for freeing up rusted bolts.

There is 2 versions of aerosol. One is for freeing up rusted bolts etc called Deep Creep.
The other is used for intake/throttle bodies/carbs etc.

Get back to work.
Ps. You missed an awesome day Tuesday. Plus i heard traffic was crazy!!

We took a detour and decided to drive Desert lake road with the big truck and trailer on the way back home.

Haha, more fun than Calabogie.

i've used seafoam in the gas tank and the spray for the air intake. also in the plug hole. and also to clean the plugs.

it may have done something but nothing instant like what it claims on the can. actually it might even be that it loosened up some gunk and now it's giving me issues. though one thing for sure, i never experienced the smoke show, either by putting seafoam in the gas tank or air intake.
