Scarborough: Land of the Crap Drivers, partial proof

There are bad chinese drivers out there, but there are also bad drivers of every other race out there. Does anyone have statistics or other proof one is worse than the other?

Like I said before, I live in Scarborough and it does not seem worse than Toronto, Vaughan or Brampton.

No statistics but other proof I have. We're experiencing a major shift in demographics in west Hamilton. The contrast in driving styles is highlighted because of how recent the shift is. Call 'em the way you see 'em.

I think Einstein once quipped that the most abundant element in the universe wasn't hydrogen--it was stupidity, so nobody is off the hook when it comes to bad driving. In my experience, when stupid and aggressive driving is on display, there's a 99% chance of Whitey being behind the wheel (or bars), though we all know not to trust statistics.

I read so often about bad riders/drivers saying how bad other riders/drivers are that I am flabbergasted by the irony.

That seems to be the way our society functions nowadays in regards to many other things not related to driving as well. Is it a tea pot / kettle phenomenon?

Lots of Indian drivers in India also....

OP should move up North, Yukon or North West.... Scarborough tooo scawy for him,,,Scarborough is the jungle only big cats allowed here.

Point 1, you need to identify what bad driving. There's aggressive, stupid MotoGp wannabe whitey type driving and otoh total clueless spatially regressive yellow driving. And parking.

Point 2, so long as the tea pot doesn't call the kettle black instigating a drive by shooting it's all good.

Point 1: Both types are bad drivers. One has good skills but poor judgement. The other is just bad all around and probably shouldn't be on the road. When you mix the 2 together you have a big problem.

Point 2: No comment.

Meh, bad drivers are everywhere these days. Drove from Toronto to Gatlinburg, TN and I think I could count the number of times I saw a turn signal come on, on one hand.

Just 2 days ago I'm a passenger in a car with a coworker and we're talking about crappy drivers and how no one signals anymore and he agrees with me. By the end of the trip I've noticed that despite agreeing with me fully he didn't signal a single lane change or which way he was going whenever he leaves a parking lot.

I've noticed TTC buses starting to catch the bug too. No guarantee of a signalling or safe following distance. They used to be the gold standard--if they honked, you screwed up. School bus drivers are a flat-out menace but that may have always been the case.

I see TTC run reds almost daily and they haven't been signaling properly since I moved to Toronto 3 years ago.

But I do agree that school bus drivers are worse. There's one in my neighborhood that jumps the green at one intersection almost every day which, as far as I'm aware, is actually included in the stunting laws.
