Parts of Ontario may see the worst of Sandy when it hits early next week, with 50 and 100 millimetres of rain expected late Monday and early Tuesday -- although Canada won't be as hard-hit as the U.S.

"We could see thousands of trees down and millions without power in Ontario and Quebec by early next week," says Chris Scott, Directory of Meteorology at The Weather Network.

"There's also the potential for flooding rain and snow inland."

Toronto could see prolonged wind gusts of 90 km/hour between Monday and Tuesday, along with heavy rain.

Anyone commuting should think twice those days. Might sneak out tomorrow but hell 3 degree high and 25 km winds from the north

Frustrating thing is that we are getting hit this weekend with the storm that washed out HWY 11 and the TransCanada in Wawa.

So there are flood warnings already from that one for the GTA and then Sandy will come into already saturated ground on Monday and Tuesday ...oh joy.

Did okay - light rain 3 degrees - all good cept my feet a bit cold which is unusual - better switch to wool socks.

Im young, my body can take it lol

Ran the forks then slabbed it south to the 410 home. Traction was still pretty good, cept i got stuck behind a car about halfway through.
