Rotella T6 on Old Bikes?

For those who dont know, Canadian Tire has a sale going on Rotella 5L jugs: T6 -$31, T - $19.

I stocked up on more than I could carry...

Question is: Is it okay to run on an older bike? 1990 GSXR 750 to be exact.
I've asked a few people and I'm getting mixed responses:
- Yeah, it should be fine
- Older engines require a bit more friction which the T6 doesn't provide enough of

...not sure which to side with...

People still sticking (pun intended) to the old myth of synthetic being too slippery? Don't worry about it.

If it meets or exceeds the specs dump it in the bike.

I've got a 1980 Honda. I've got you beat with the "older bike".

There's a lot of other guys who ride the same bike as I do, and most use Rotella T. Some others use the T6. Nobody has reported any problems resulting from the oil.
