I am looking for some scenic roads around ontario. Recently on a trip to kingston I stopped around newtonville, very scenic and gorgeous. It was quiet and empty.

Id like to take a friend out for a ride and would appreciate some good roads. I am downtown.


I normally do dvp/lakeshore/bayview/rosedale valley road

Are there any other good riding spots? pref near the water.

You can get to central Pennsylvania from the GTA in about the same time it takes to get to Kingston. The roads there put anything in Ontario to shame. The only problem is, once you ride them you're spoiled and will hate riding in Ontario.

Toronto-Pennsylvania = ~465km
Toronto-Kingston = ~265km

I'd love for it to be true, because you're dead-on - riding through NY, VT, NH and Maine (and beyond) have really spoiled me, I hate Ontario riding now.

The secondaries are pretty decent 1/2 hour south of Buffalo and prices of just about everything, food, fuel, accomodations, about 30% off. The roads just keep getting better.

Yep, I'm facing this problem now. I spent two days in north central PA in mid July and I can't seem to find the motivation to go riding to Muskoka and area now.
