Riding Down Under - Tropical Cairns Australia

Noraly looks wonderful ...China impressive.

Mac swapping days - decided on a 14" instead of the 13"

smooth and easy given the wiff.
It's still too warm to sleep without a/c
26.7° FEELS LIKE 30.0°C

It feels nice out on the deck with fans running bingeing Antiques Roadshow
Need a ride

Noraly can travel the world for me as long as she's willing
2,000 year old city and a peaceful feel sort of like Japan - there is sense of the no kids problem…..China is aging very fast….but damn is it a modern, clean technological civilization …at least what we see

I only touched China briefly in 1982 on honey moon …Guangchou couple hundred km from Hong Kong …modern open city and the old regime was dying….
All I feel from China is new and refreshing now
A better empire imnsho
Closer to Europe than North America in feel …..quieter than most of Asia/India

While I’d love to go there it would be a life time to explore and the language both spoken and written a huge barrier.
partner would never go - a bit of xenophobe in her mainly due to animal/food culture and a few other things
Does not even want to do Japan…I think our travels are mostly done and the barriers rising.
Damn $200 for a 30 day Aus visa ….was $20 😳

100 years out will humans still have a multilingual world and what will be dominant?? 🤔
English has a leg up being the tech language especially for aircraft

Minus 15 degrees Celsius, howling wind and 15 to 20 cm. of snow now falling on top of the 10 cm base of earlier snow.
Looks like the only handlebars that are going to be used for the next couple of days are on the snowblower.
And this is SOUTHERN Ontario, Canada?
The bikes are shivering in the garage.

While mine was wilting in the heat tho the last couple of days rather drowning instead. Joys of riding.🙏

This Noraly wannabe drives me crazy. She natters and over dramatic for some stuff. She only has 28k subscribers. Good drone and doing hotels. I do like the bike she is riding after questioning her choice.
But spectacular scenery - Rainbow Mountains - and China is blowing me away so another look

There is similar near Denali in Alaska but no where as vivid....also some in Chile. These are astonishing.

Despite marginal sleep the day worked out. Catheter change not too traumatic and timing worked out with the MacBook Air buyer.
