Need to get out for a ride today as medical procedures + ennui keeping me idle.

Okay ride up the Gillies and backdown - had a tasty BLT on turkish bun.
Very busy traffic even on the Gillies - clearly many taking a long weekend at Lake Tinaroo.
120 km round trip.
Only one tailgater going down and he backed off once I waved him to stay back.

Decent audio book on the go but the IEMs I tried left the helmet too noisy. Quite a temperature change climbing up 1200' quickly so some fogging.
If I ride tomorrow will try the C3. I did miss the flip up.

Bingeing Harry Potter series in Blu Ray. Still having issues with the boxed set. 4k still hiccups, regular BR disc is fine.

Was tired from the ride so long arvo snooze past supper time - still a bit sore from angiogram and noisy helmet was tiring tho good audio book.

Off to lunch with relatives. Nice deal on a steak sandwich and really like the place .....lovely marina on the ocean.

Quite a size large steak sandwich and the cook actually nailed the medium rare.
All it wanted was some horseradish but still was a good feed
Slept the rest of arvo away - guy that wanted the red gloves dodged.
Watched Harry Potter 3 and crashed out.
Woke and nailed Wordle.
Keeping my no Ai streak rolling and with a birdie !!!


Off to foot doc for minor repair.
Honda tomorrow to fit the risers and sort the chain.

Itchy Boots slogging it in Scottish weather.

Last day for a ride for a while.
Doesn’t seem possible - 30 years ago I walked out on the beach in Hermanus S Africa and saw this.

Felt good to be out on the bike. Not sure on the risers but might work....need a longer ride. Nice to have the throttle lock working.. Very windy so not going far with noisy helmet tho C3 is quieter than the Nolan.
Switched back to the C3 helmet and prefer it - will sell the Nolan helmet and use the proceeds to buy a new visor for the C3.
I may be biased as have not ridden with proper noise suppression. The C3 does a better job passively.

Got broken sleep - stayed up too late wallowing in Federer and rock clips.
Happy with the set up on the deck now ...everything works

and no discomfort from the operation for the first time.

improving but lazy

After doing very well with the new catheter I started bleeding into the bladder and it was scary. Partner kept me centered but also was concerned.
Was really bad early today and then suddenly it stopped.

Then started again with a nasty clot ...stop start all day. Looking at it...left side all day then earlier completely clear...weird...it just flat out stopped.
Late night now and wallowing in medical show and my travel photos.

Endone is nice...

Wide awake at 1 am...had intense sleep in the afternoon. Was good. Catheter running clear

Raining a bit. Actually getting out of the house for a bit today. No Bowls Club last night...too many sickies in the group not just me tho I would have gone.

Have the tap on the catheter so got out for errands ....mostly clear...fingers crossed.
Partner promising a steak or kangaroo feed to keep my red blood cells count up.
Nice lady dropped of my latest facebook find. Was not expecting the large one. We have smaller size as well but wanted one for my room.

Nice day - managed to catch peak temp of 23 to get in shower and clean up.
Still leaking blood but will cope until Monday.
Going down to 12 tonight so bundled up with long johns and Itchy Boots hoodie, wool socks and couple of poly base layers.
Partner grabbed a couple steaks for me so give me some blood support....won't complain.
Happy with the Galileo thermometer - good spot for it.

Down to 15 and falling. Clear night so no insolatipn. Well layered up - good steak dinner but bleeding into catheter very dark. Partner concerned too. Slugging watere to flush it ( I hate water but this is light sparkling which I can tolerate...1.2L.
REALLLLLY don't want to go to emergency...will rely on her judgement. Well rested, well fed, no pain just losing some blood.

I’m told this is the wet tropics…..not feeling very tropical

Very glad I brought my 3 season Scott riding jacket as that's my top layer at the moment.
That will be quite enough jeez - see my breath sitting at the screen.

Noraly surfaces in Pakistan....could use a bit of the heat she's in. 44!!!

Pakistan might outdo India for road chaos. Back to bed til the sun comes up.

On Sunday morning, we did observe temperatures below zero degrees on the Atherton Tablelands, which is quite far north to get those temperatures

Definitely improving. Got a clean bill of blood health from the urologist. Blood count back to normal.
Riding in two weeks . Will be patient.
Semi- bachelor for three days - partner dog sitting over night.
Good time to get some of my electronics sorted.

Happy with the set up. Galileo thermometer is a treat. Good match with the Universe glass. Will be spectacular in the sun in the morning.

Added the Tenda mesh back to the network so a bit more consistent access out in my black hole corner. The Wifi 6 router reaches much better but adding the Nova really makes for a strong connection.
Think I'm on a western kick for media.
