Fatal Motorcycle Collision
Mississauga – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision involving three vehicles claims the life of a Brampton resident.

On August 22, 2012, at approximately 4:45 p.m., the victim, a 49 year old male resident of Brampton, was operating a 2011 Silver Honda motorcycle on Tomken Road at Eglinton Avenue. At this time, the motorcycle collided violently with a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta within the intersection, which caused the Honda‘s front tire to break off and strike a third vehicle, a 2006 Acura CST.

The motorcyclist suffered critical injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta suffered minor injuries.
Members of the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or who may have seen the vehicles prior to the crash.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call Peel Regional Police’s Major Collision Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3710. Information may also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.

What boggles my mind is - why are they looking for witnesses? Did none stick around?!

^ It's standard practice to appeal for witnesses for major collision investigations, in case anyone out there has information over and above whatever they already have.

Rest in peace Julian.
Condolences to the family.
