A 34-year-old motorcycle rider suffered life-threatening injuries in a three vehicle collision yesterday morning in Pickering.
 
On  Sunday September 11, 2011 at approximately 10:30 a.m. members of West  Division responded to a multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle  on Granite Court, just west of Whites Road in the City of Pickering.
Witnesses  reported the motorcycle rider was travelling westbound on Granite  Court, failed to negotiate a curve in the road and crossed the center  line into the oncoming eastbound lane.  The rider then collided with two  separate sedans that were travelling eastbound. 
The rider of  the motorcycle, a 34-year-old Pickering man, was transported from the  collision scene to a Toronto area hospital with multiple  life-threatening injuries, where he remains in critical condition.   Neither driver of the two involved sedans were injured.  
The  road was closed for several hours while members from the Collision  Investigation Unit investigated the collision.  Weather, road conditions  and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors to the  collision.
