Need your Recommendations...

So I'm planning a weekend ride starting from Etobicoke and going up to Barrie and Lake Simcoe area. Can anyone recommend a favourite breakfast place for a pitstop anywhere along the way? I usually take Islington / Hwy 27 all the way up, but don't mind a detour to my route for any spot that has great breakfasts!

Why would you want to stop at all? It's not a long ride. But you want to detour and stop, you might want to check out the town of Mono, a bit of a ride west though.

Whats your route?

Sounds like a nice little trip. I used to live in Barrie and wouldn't mind to go sometime to meet the new family in my old house. And to go to Dunlop street and see if they are selling my favorite potato wedges still. There was a place right beside the arcade that had AWESOME wedges. I would ride there just for a bucket of those- seriously!

That sounds really really good. Its strange. Why? I just got back from the keg and can't move. Why am I thinking of food? Why am I answering my own questions?? I don't know!

Couple of spots that I like for breky...hwy 27 and Beeton road just north of Nobleton. Also Hwy 89 and the 5th line just west of 400 and a few kms east of Cookstown. Not a bad spot on 27 just north of Thornton...if you like boats maybe the Fork n Spoon ( or something like that ) at Lefroy Harbour..nice restaraunt at the marina, north of 89 on hwy 11, turn right at Churchill and when you get to the lake turn south for a km or 2. I think they are open now but I am not sure.

Seconded for Mono and there are some sweet roads on the way up if you get off 27 and move over a bit towards the west and wind your way up maybe Beaver Valley and then go east from there
