I had Pazzo's on my 08 R6 (R.I.P, loved you). You can see (at least one of) them in this pic:

I ordered a set of $100 (inc shipping) bi-folding adjustable length eBay levers from THESE PEOPLE with custom logos for my GF's 08 R6 and my 09 R6S. She loves them, I haven't rode with mine yet. Make sure all the bolts are tight before you install them (I had to taper/thin a 5/16" socket to tighten the recessed main pivot bolt).

Check out the ASV line a bit pricey but I love the short stubby levers had them on my Cbr 1000Rr plus they will not break in case the bike is dropped.

But will the perches break instead? I'd rather have a lever snap.

They (levers) do not snap as they bend all the way back if the bike falls. This happen to me when I was riding in Azusa Canyon in California, the kick stand was not lock and the bike fell over and the clutch lever snapped, After that I installed the ASV levers because the design allows it to be bent back all the way. Wish I could take a picture to illustrate but I sold my CBR1000RR with the ASV levers installed.

I like to buy local/Canadian (US if nothing available locally), even if that means paying a premium. See, funny thing is that by supporting local businesses, they keep doing this silly thing called R&D that gives us new toys that we can buy in future (and then other countries can then copy and sell for $5). Keep buying those knockoffs, see how innovative the aftermarket continues to be...

Pazzo, ASV or CRG - quality products, can't go wrong there.

P.S. No experience with ebay levers/knockoffs; given that brakes are serious business, I personally prefer name brands where safety is concerned (tend to agree with other posters in this thread about tolerances, fitment, etc. potentially associated with any knockoff; again, personal opinion/preference).
 
There's a difference between paying a premium...which I would gladly do, say $5-30 more...and being hosed.

not much r&d is done locally anymore

plus with your logic why aren't you on a buell with the bombardier engine?

Looks like a good read; quote on the first page caught my eye "Decades of outsourcing manufacturing have left U.S. industry without the means to invent the next generation of high-tech products that are key to rebuilding its economy." It really is our own fault that we're in the state we are now.

Guess I was too subtle in my post - I buy locally when the product's quality is above and beyond reproach...
 
I certainly don't have a problem buying parts for less but I bought a set of levers off ebay and they were just pure garbage, way too much vertical play on the levers and best of all they they didn't even have the correct fastners on as most were too short for the nylocks to actually hold them in place...

Either way its the buyers choice but don't get bummed if they turn out to be crap
