Renting a trailer for my trip to NY

Hi Folks

Any recommendations or advise on where I can rent a trailer for a sport bike. Planning to go visit some family in NY and would like to meetup with some riders in NYC so I would like to take my bike. Considering riding but 400 miles on a sport bike with a backpack I might be the next hunchback of Notre Dame by the time I get to NY.

Set of used SB luggage would be about the same cost. More fun to ride and use the bags for years to come.

Just use chamois or something underneath to prevent rubbing on paint.

I think Hog Haulers rents if you are determined to trailer.

Ride up towards Cornwall then cut across towards Lake Placid area then start heading south through the Catskills. You'll forget you've got a backpack on. Especially with a backpack designed for motorcycle use.

+1 for riding there. New York State has some really beautiful roads you can ride on the way to and from.

My friend rode her YZF600 from Toronto to California and back.

The key is to start stoopid early (1/2 hour before sunrise) and dress for the weather.

Those u-haul trailers are crazy heavy.

400 miles is only 650km ... what bike are you riding ? I had a pack of friends follow me on supersports to California and they did not complain too much ... for the record that was 13,000km haha

Or ride 4 hrs in the afternoon to cross the border down south to PA or East to Kingston border for NY. Sleep and have fun the next day in PA or Adirondack. It will cost a hotel/motel but you will enjoy the roads better when your well rested and done with the boring roads.

I can knock off 3500 kms in a week on a GSXR......don't wear a backpack. get luggage.

If you tow your bike, you are gonna drive your cage right thru all the best riding....wonderful roads between here and there.

Would be an Mv F4 but the riding position is much more aggressive than an superstore bike. With my cbr1000rr or r6 would not be an issue. Thanks for the feedback

Whats a superstore btw?

Like one of those giant Walmarts?

I think he's referring to the big 4 Japanese manufacturers what us peasants ride. When I'm not riding my 1098 that is.

Sorry meant supersport bike was using my Ipad which I guess automatically assume supersport was actually superstore. No issues with Japanese I owned three japanese sport bikes.

Rode 1,300km in roughly 13 hours before ... 400 miles is VERY doable. Frequent breaks are key in order to stretch.
