Renthal Grip Install

So i ordered a set of renthal grips for my GSXR and the guy said that they would fit and the package even says "Road Racing" right on them. However, when i went to install the throttle side grip i noticed there is no slot for the upper or lower flange on my GSXR's throttle tube. Did the guy give me false information and the wrong product or am i missing something?
 
the problem isnt getting the grips on, the issue is that there is no slot for the upper and lower flange on my throttle tube. Im not sure if they gave me the wrong grips or if all Renthal grips are like this.
 
File, sand or dremmel the bumps down. There are no bump accepting renthal grips for your throttle tube. You should glue them or wire them on after they are installed.

Some people use hairspray to slide them on, then it dries and sticks. Get it on before it dries obviously.
 
I guess! Road racing = might be using universal throttle tubes without flanges. But this shouldn't be an issue. Make them fit if you like the grips and wire them
 
Thanks guys. Just wondering if all aftermarket grips are made universal like this or are there bike specific aftermarket grips out there?
