what would you guys recommend to use both for car mount and motorcycle?
None. Cameras for motorcycles usually only have as much memory as you installed in it which can run out very fast. If you don't have a charger directly hooked up to your battery to your camera, most likely it will only last 3 hrs max.
For car dashcams, you would probably want one that overwrites itself after the max recording time is reached so it is a constant loop and it will continuously record until you stop it. Dash cams are usually hooked up to the car so it won't run out of batteries (if it even runs on one).
If you're okay removing switching the memory card every 3 hours and replacing it with an empty one or deleting current content on it, and found a mount that works for your car, (which the suction cup for the go pro works well), that would probably be your choice.
It would probably be more efficient to have one for each if you wanted one unless you plan on recording for a short period of time.
I record 90% of my rides and it does get kind of annoying having to delete the content and charge it every few days (I had a 16GB memory card and just upgraded to 32GB but the battery probably wont last the whole 32GB of recordings anyways). I do have a charger hooked up to my bike though - just cant record and charge at the same time.
Many riders just start recording when they've reached their destination or found something interesting to record rather than record their whole ride.
