recommendations on repair shops in milton, mississauga, oakville for a downed bike?

Has anyone had experience with Oakville Yamaha when it comes to repairs from a dumped bike or can recommened good shops in the mississauga oakville area ? Bike is a 1999 FZR 600 and it was recently crashed and the plastics on one side are cracked as well as some minor stuff like pegs and all the oil spewed out so something poke a hole in the oil pan or something of the like.

I'm worry that even though the bike is mint...because its a 99 insurance will write off the bike because the repair cost might come to close to the value of the bike. Its really sad to the bike has 12000 original km's on it and was mint:( I think there shop rate is 90 something and hour and wondering if there are any shops other then them to recommend for good quality reasonably priced repairs in and around mississauga, milton, oakville.

You want the insurance to write it off. They give you cash for it and then you buy the bike back from them, fix it for half the money and you should still come ahead.


When the insurance company wrote off my old Ford Probe back in the day, I made around 600 bucks clean, after fixing it.

Did you wreck it?

Since it is a insurance job - you'll need a Legit shop. PM Johnnyp636 on this forum - he can take care of this. He is a stand up guy in mississauga. He's been around for a while and does good work.

I believe he runs GTA customs - if I am not mistaken?

Adrian is great at Ace but not sure he has time or does that kind of work.

I thought of that too...how much do they usually sell it back to you for? Im already thinking i'm gonna have probs because its a 99 FZR 600 I bet they'll try and offer me 1500 or something and its worth double that easily. The bike was mint.

I'm also not sure if i want a claim on my record...i was already calling around to get a better quote on my car and hypothetically asked about rates if I have a claim on my motorcycle for an at fault accident and I'm treated as a new driver basically because I would have been "accident free" for less then a year. Basially like like getting insurance quotes as a brand new driver and im 36!

called Adrian as I already deal with him and he's gonna have a look at it for me. I trust him implicitly and he will be much cheaper then dealer. Upon close inspection of the bike I've more or less decided not to make an insurance claim.
