RCMP try new tactics in protestor crowd control

After being bombarded with bad new about the Toronto Police and how they deal with protesters, it nice to see the RCMP are willing to trying some thing different

16 arrested at Fairy Creek blockades as police bemoan 'egregious safety violations'

Mounties enforcing the B.C. Supreme Court injunction against anti-logging protesters in the Fairy Creek Watershed on Vancouver Island say they arrested 16 people on Saturday, after escorting them to a picnic in the blockaded area.

The RCMP took the protesters on a picnic... then one of the protesters assaulted a cop (maybe there was raisins in the potato salad).

Maybe they smartened up after the the incident at YVR airport where a mentally challenged guy died after being being repeatedly tasered, the officers could have just jumped the guy. That incident made my blood boil.

the leaders of the local tribal council are in favour of a sustainable solution and have asked the protesters to stop, so no.

This is beyond tribal, financial and political.
That is growth should stay there until all the other second growth sustainable sultions catch up.
