Ramps to watch out for - 400-series highways

427 south getting off at eglinton. Two bumps right in the middle of the corner, will make you get up close and personal with the guard rail if you decide to do it at moto gp pace ;)

Yeah, that one's a real sucker punch. Gardiner west to southbound Brownsline offramp, if you dare.

take a track day if you're concerned about highway ramps
This.
It got to the point where I was acting stupid on the street, so I just bought a dedicated track bike and will be doing a lot of track days this year.

The 401 E. to Islington North ramp is a tricky one. Avoid going in too hot.

That ramp is awesome! Smooth as hell and uphill. Only downside is visibility, but still plenty of room. The westbound 401 to southbound islington is even better. Same idea, uphill, nice and smooth with no guard rail to slice you in half.

I love ramps. Wish i can find a left turning one

Sent from my tablet using my paws

DVP north on ramp from Bayview. The most awesome left sweeper in Toronto.

Except there's always that one spot in the middle where it has what seems to be a permanent patch of oil or something

it's a dip from the sewer grate. they patched that up recently i was just on that ramp today lol

My favourite is heading south on the 427 and heading on the Gardiner Eastbound, after that got a coat of fresh pavement it was a dream.

That spot still makes me nervous lol
There's another mini ramp sweeping left I think it's progress just off Jackasstors in TC entering McCowan straight onto the McCowan ramps.

it's the bayview to dvp south one

decreasing radius uphill

+1. This is a good one to point out. You have to start watching for traffic over the concrete barriers.

401 west, take the Allen rd exit and then stay left. Take the yorkdale road ramp... LOVE that one.

Another fun one is just off the DVP on Bayview going up or down Pottery Rd., it just sucks if someone is in front of you.

Westbound 401 to Yorkdale Rd has a nice 270 degree right, a short straight, then a sharp 170 degree right, another short straight then Yorkdale has a nice 80 degree left going across the top of the mall. Hitting that without traffic is a blast.

Fortunate enough for that to be my daily commute :D

Yes, that one IS fun!

Thanks for the tips, everyone!

in the west end try the "rathburn raceway" on the 427...
take 427 north exit onto rathburn rd west a 270 sweeper, cross over the 427 and get back on the 427 south,,go south to burhamthorpe,,take the ramp for burn. rd east , cross over the 427 and get back on the 427 north to repeat another loop.
3 great ramps, 1 mediocre ramp and have never seen cops there

A good on is north on Mavis, taking 401 Westbound, then getting off at Mississauga rd going south, and back on the 401 Eastbound.

unfortunately I crashed my bike yesterday on the 401 eastbound ramp off mississauga rd. took it too far....

Northbound Kennedy to westbound 401 in Scarborough has a decreasing radius at the end when you expect to accelerate out of the turn. I don't do it that often, so it sometimes catches me by surprise.

.
Part of my commute.. Unfortunately lots of traffic usually..
