R1300 triple black

That front silver panel (rad cover?) is painfully ugly. Having it body colour would improve things. Especially on the triple black. Why would that have silver panels?

The old R1250GS and older R1200GS also had silver panels, it's a "heritage" thing, I think.

But also, they get to upsell you black panels from the catalog, a la Harley Davidson. These are the ones from the previous gen, look for R13 panels soon!

"Painfully ugly" barely describes the new GS. Hideous would be closer.

It's like they took one look at HD's Pan American and said, "You think that's ugly; watch this!"

I don't think that generation is pretty but I think it is miles better than the current monstrosity. It was utilitarian but had some parallel lines. The new thing seems to have given each part to a separate designer and then they just bolted the whole mess together.

What was the last really good lookin` BMW? I`d say the R90s. I`ve always liked the RT series, I think they do a good job on a big do it all bike.

Latest models?

I like the S1000RR, the ones before the aero-mustaches went on:

Also, the older K1200S was good looking, in a thicc sort of way:

As for the GS lineup, those were designed to look ugly and agricultural...

The R1300GSA broke tradition with previous GS/GSA models. It's always been the case that the Adventure took the base GS and merely added a large tank, taller suspension and slapped an "ADV" badge on the side.

However, this time around, they totally diverged from the R1300GS base and designed the Adventure from scratch, it seems.

I do like the looks of the R1300GS:

Looks very sleeks, minus the X-headlights. which take a bit of getting used to.

However, the R1300GSA... Kinda looks like it was built of out lego. Not exactly my cup of tea...

Still others seem to like it. Different strokes for different folks...
