R1 Backward battery

Here's the story, I had a call from a friend tonight, he was replacing the battery in his 06 R1 and he hooked it up backwards. Apparently he realized what he'd done and corrected it but says the bike is now dead. I told him I'd look at it on the weekend. Does anyone have any idea what damage if any he could have done?

Likely just a fuse.
Run through the box and check them all.

Go check the fuses for your friend.

If he can't install a battery properly he should probably avoid any/all work on his bike in the future.

Yup what he said, Its likely the main fuse which is located under a cap on the solenoid switch.

I'll check it Sunday. I suspect he now has a spare battery as he bought the new one when the bike wouldn't start after sitting the last four months and "no" he didn't try charging it.
