Place to try Alpinestars GP PLUS R LEATHER JACKET

I'm looking for specifically that jacket. Thank you though.
If you are looking for that jacket specifically

You can get it from Canada's motorcycle

If it doesn't fit you can exchange it and the return postage is around $7

I can confirm this is true. They have a great return policy.
Still, probably best to just try it on at a shop. Not even just to save the $7, but to save 2 weeks of your time while you wait for a replacement.

I feel like alot of shops will have this jacket, its pretty popular. Just go to all the shops in your area and aee what they have. Maybe youll even find a jacket you like more. If not, at least you can look at some bikes.

BTW, ive tried on gear before that felt great at the shop, and totally different on the bike. So keep that in mind.

As long as there is an effort to buy something from the store rather than just use it as a fitting room

Why? Whats wrong with that? Thats capitalism. Why would I pay $50 more for something thats been tried on my 20 other people when I can get a brand new one with a better return policy for much less?

I still support my local shops, unintentionally. Ill bring in my bike for maintenance or occasionally ill buy some little item here or there. And I browse the bikes they have for sale while I'm there. Maybe one day ill buy one from them.
Even if i am using it as a fitting room its still bringing me into their shop.

I havent decided where I'm going to buy. Some of the shops around here, I couldn't care less for. I have purchased from Canada's Motorcycle in the past, and they were fairly good to deal with.

You're joking, right? Keep it up, and there won't be any local shops left.

I usually get good deals locally. GP Bikes is always competitive. The little guy needs your business. Ask for a discount, a price match, whatever. The worst he can say is no. Give him a chance, at least.

Sheesh!

Im not giving up my hard earned money so someone can stay in business. Its business. If you cant be competitive, thats your problem.

Besides, they can make money from other sources. They should take advantage of those revenue streams instead of relying on pity. They would stay in business longer.

You must be joking. Brick and mortar provides a different type of service and value than online. Notice the need to try out before buying? You won't get that online.

what isn't figured out by folks that never had the opportunity to actually run a business, the whole 'i go to shops and look at bikes, that should be enough' ' I buy my filters online' 'its a fitting room' is pretty shortsighted.
There are lots of shops that make a living on servicing bikes, they dont sell gear. They dont sell bikes. There are very few new bikes you can buy online.

I actually bought my one alpinestars jacket at my local shop. I had intended to just go in and use it as a fitting room, but then I saw that it was on sale and only a couple bucks more than it wouldve been online. So I bought it instead of waiting for delivery. Its a fine jacket, although I wish I had just bought online because the zipper is really finicky from being tried on all the time. Ill be buying online next time.

But ill also be having them do about $300 worth of service to my bike next weekend, and I probably wouldnt have known about their store at all if I hadnt been looking to try on gear.

Depending on size and version you want my tech jacket is superior to the pro for only a few dollars more. It got used lightly for one season. Btw I don't offer a return service.

Well, I called GP BIKES, and they don't stock that jacket. It would have to be ordered.

They had to order one for me too.
...was at my door 3 days after I ordered it.

I have 2 A* jackets with broken zippers. Ordered thru dealer.
