I work at a not so big mall n never ridin the bike there.I feel paranoid about parking it for 8-9 hrs n away from my eyes.Are there any precautions I could take n any tips ?

Get insurance. Its really, really unlikely anyone is going to grab your bike while you are in the mall, but if they do, what can you do to prevent it? Nothing. The same way you cant prevent someone from stealing it while you are work. Think about it this way, if you are not riding your bike to work, thats LONGER that you cant see it. And what about when you're in your house and sleeping?? Someone could just walk right up and steal it!
If you live your whole life worrying about what could happen, you will never enjoy anything.

If it gets backed into, and you don't know who did it, it probably won't even be worth it to make a claim and you'd be out of pocket.
If its your only mode of transport, then you might as well. If not, just take your car.
Edit: Errr I must be tripping out or something cause I swear I thought you wrote that you're parking it at a mall for work....

II'm thinking the same...park it right upfront next to the entrance n check it every couple of hrs

If you park it up front next to the entrance, I would suggest asking security if it is okay for you to do that - otherwise they'll most likely give you trouble. Also don't be surprised if there are random people touching your bike.

I gotta say bunch of you are really paranoid. I park at malls, P parking, condos etc... Have never been worried about getting robbed or getting backed into. Just talk to the security, and park the bike near bicycle stands, or the entrance. That is what I usually do.

the guy i got my CBR off bought it new, and also worked in a mall and was scared to leave it there so he barely rode it to work.

Ever since it happened to my gf, my Asian paranoia kicked in and installed a Scorpio Alarm system. If you are REALLY worried about it being knocked over or something stupid, get a Scorpio SR-i1100. Check your phone every time it goes off and if it's an alarm warning, go out with a baseball bat and get ready to beat the **** out of someone!
