Owner ship and insurance

Do we always have to carry both the original of ownership and insurance all the time? I put copy on my tool case.

thanks
Statefarm e-mailed me a PDF of my pink slip to tide me over until I received them in the mail. I got pulled over and showed that to an officer (on my phone) and he said "it's too easy to fake", I said "WTF, look, logged into exchange server, open e-mail, from @statefarm.com, pdf attached, open PDF = pink slip? I can fake a piece of paper WAY easier than that digital trail! lol". I took it to court and REALLY wanted to test it, but the crown dropped the charge "no reasonable expectation of conviction" :(

Soon they are gonna have to allow that ish.

Not sure if you need your real/original ownership.

i've always had photo copies and the cops never gave me any trouble.
although i've also heard some people gettin a lot of trouble by the cops because they hold the photo copies.

i guess its up to the cop.

You need to have the plate sticker on the back of the ownership. Maybe a double sided copy would be "acceptable" but if the cop wants to be a dick he can charge you.

It's really not worth the risk. Paperwork tickets count towards your insurance.

Yes for both and they must be ORIGINAL.

No, the ownership can be a photocopy but you need both sides. Copy it and see what happens, it will have "copy" in faint letters all over.

Just carry the papers. In the event that you lose them, it's like $20 to replace. (Insurance pink slip is free)

Why in the world would you carry originals at $20 (actually I believe it's $10) replacement cost if copies are free if you have access to a machine?

thats what i carry, photo copy of both sides of my ownership and insurance (most up to date version of course)

I thought you had to have original pink slip insurance and you can have photocopy of both sides of ownership.

Why is this really an issue? I've never not had my ownership and insurance slips on me for any vehicle. If you lose them go get new ones. Big deal?

I dunno about you guys, but I carry it in my small wallet that holds my driver's license, health card, CAA, debit card and visa.
I just can't see how the papers will get lost... it's so small and thin. I have never had anything fallen out of my pockets/jackets.
