Overnight trip from Ottawa ~2k km

Thinking about taking 1 last tour overnight next weekend. Put a couple more thousand on my 82 CB900c.

Can anyone recommend a good 2 day trip (will camp overnight)? Would rather keep it in CAN but US is ok too. Around 1000 km / day is fine.

Thanks, NICE scenery is the goal.

Are you going for a group ride? I'm in ottawa and interested. I don't have experience combining camping and riding though.

I've been on that road just a few weeks ago. In fact, that road is part of the Ironman competition that just passed and my girlfriend showed it to me in the car afterwards. In fact, she cycled from Mont Tremblant village right to the very point you stopped at (and about 150kms more...).

It is very nice!

Found this and considering....

Instead of 89/29 stretch though Point C, try N Shore Rd along Stewart's Bridge Reservoir (road ends in Lake Luzene-Hadley)... very scenic and the best (twisty) sections are newly paved...

Near the same area, 10 though Adirondack park is a much better alternative to 30... 10 is like 507 but 2x the length and without a cop shop in the middle...

As you cross b/w NY &VT at Crown Point, you are so close to Tracy Rd out of Minevlile-Witherbee that it's a shame not to do it as it's one of the best roads in that area. I'd find a way to incorporate it in your route.

Have fun
