Excellent road surfaces for the most part, most construction has been freshly done and there's a lot of brand new tarmac on parts of this route. Some great twisty stretches by Ripon (a nice hairpin too) and lots of long fast sweepers elsewhere and great views of the Laurentians on the latter half of the 117 heading into Tremblant. Plenty of gas stations and Casse Croutes scattered about. I was going to take a break in Tremblant village (not the ski village, that's tacky, expensive and full of tourtists) but I ran out of time, I wanted to get back in daylight.

Was up there this past fri-sun also.

Did you do any different roads? Any recommendations? I like it up there, love the mountains. The day was a bit blah today though, I wanted to take lots of pics but it was overcast all day.

Great route - thanks - chance to visit daughter in Ottawa and have some fun.
Loved the top part of 117 to Rouyn Noranda but not much twisty.
Seems I missed the best section.

The 117 isn't all that twisty but a few of the 3## routes aren't bad. The 117 views as you approach Tremblent are great though.

Did most of this tour on the weekend, careful halfway from Hawksbury to Tremblant, Slick road surface, deadly for bikes. Don't know why they did this? Other than that excellent twisties.
