The snow north of Orangeville is substantially heavier. It can be bad here, but in the winter Highway 10 is frequently closed north of Hockley Valley Road.
Yup. Lived there for a couple years. Even when the drive home was dry and clear - many times I'd get past Hockley and it was a whole different world.
The drive can get to you on the best of days but generally it's just time not traffic. On those snowy days though, there's nothing like spending two (or more) hours in a car and then having to blow the driveway out.......day after day.....
Moved when I finally decided too much of my life was being spent in a car. If you do decide on Shelburne get an AWD! That extra "15 minutes" north of Orangeville (or so I thought) is just an pipe dream in the winter.
Have lived in Orangeville too. The drive to Brampton was painless and that was b4 the 410 extension. I'd go back!
