going down to the finger lakes area just for the day after picking up some parts in the states.
probably slabbing it down from oakville to get max time in the fun zone.

Is there any "must do" roads in the area
entering at Lewiston
thanks

"Finger Lakes" covers quite a large area. I've been to Watkins Glen/Corning area, but while I've been on some scenic roads, they have all been lazy sweepers, getting a little curvier as you head south into PA. Haven't found any hidden gems yet - doesn't mean they are not out there. Roads along the lakes are pretty though , the "wine trails".

Very boring roads. The views are moderate at best. Stayed in Itica, NY.

Lots of stuff in the area but it's a long ride for modest roads. The area is best savoured with "Off the bike" attractions, waterfalls, Watkins Glen State Park, Glenn Curtis Museum etc. You need a day or two down there but the ride isn't worth a butt buster IMO.

okay thanks for that save...not a wine guy. maybe will switch over and goto alleghany park instead. I really need 2 days down there but only have one...story of my life.

I'd do it, but leave stoooopid early to avoid traffic and border nightmares, than get out of Buffalo PDQ and then relax and enjoy the ride. It is pretty flat near the great lakes, but it is some beautiful farm country and I'm into that sort of thing.

You could always have lunch in Renovo and be back in Toronto for 8 or 9 pm. That's a wicked ride starting south of the NYS border and in their state and national parks.
