The 750 was outstanding, the 600 was meh.

It could be worse:

Wow...I enjoyed my 600 for 2 years but i think i would have enjoyed the 750 more..

I'd get an old Fireblade. Personally I love the 900rr but if that is too old for you look at the 929, you get a well sorted one dirt cheap.

Or a 98 zx9. Super comfy and plenty fast. I miss that bike, pretty sure that's why my wife started dating me lol.

Looking to get an older/cheaper SS (less likely to get stolen again).

Perhaps looking at a 2004-2006 year range across the SS series.

I just saw a rashed/crashed/stock/needed new tires CBR600RR '05 with 30,000KM on the dash.. and the guy wanted in the high 4's for it. What's a fair price for something like that and what should I expect to pay for what I'm looking for?

Cheers

best looking sport bike in that year range is the 04-06 R1.......06 R6 is nice too!

I always liked the way the Katana looked in those years

yea...it looks so soft, cute and cuddly. Not sure if I'd want my sportbike looking like that...

I'd stick with my Ninja 250, rather be slow and look good :agave:

I thought this thing was the predecessor to the SV650...its sport touring isn't it?

No the line continues with the GSXF650 it just lost the Katana name. The SV is a separate platform it was a budget naked bike when it first came out. Yea its a sports touring. Its very comfortable for long distance.

So this is how my bike shopping is going lol..

well you gotta remember this is not a suzuki this is Kawasaki ZX6RR which mean its a race replica of 2004 Kawasaki 600 class race team this bike comes with things others don't for example sliper clutch which was unheard of in 2004. inverted forks. and list goes on. its a rare bike the all maintenance done at the dealership have records last ZX6RR sold on kijiji was for 5000 and that bike wasn't street legal it was a trackbike this bike smokes the gsxr600 all day long and keeps up with a gsxr750. gotta do your research before buying something

clearly you don't know enough about what you had or what you are buying thanks for wasting my time windowshoper

For what it's worth, Blue Book says:

2004 KAWASAKI Ninja ZX600RR M1

Retail Low: $4,368.00 Retail High: $5,096.00

Suggest this: he keeps his bike of awesomeness, and you keep windowshoping with your money.

I wonder how he knows what bikes sold for on kijiji?

Its a RR, not an R model, so not your regular run of the mill 03-04 Kawi.

1999 - 2005 Katana 750 or 600

Cheep easy to work on and plenty fast. Wont be stolen by anyone ever for any reason. Also they are very good on insurance.
he said cheap, not crappy

I had the 2005 as a race bike last year and it sold on kijiji for a lot less than 5k lol, and it had some nice parts.

What it was at that time (slipper clutch) today does not make it any more expensive
