Got almost 298,000+ on my 2015 Odyssey. Just put a new water pump in it for around $1500, because the bearing was loose. Went to the dealer before that for something and they put me through the wringer for a wire that squirrels had chewed. Didn't even replace it, just repaired it, but had to take some of the engine apart to get at it. Passenger sliding door wire broke, so that's not usable at the moment. I will try and replace it in the summer myself, but it's behind the hvac in the back. Other than that, she's running great.
Wife wants a new SUV next year or the year after; the problem is that she wants a small, high, but wide one, which is a unicorn fart.
Has to fit five 200+ lb adult men comfortably, but no third row. My youngest boy has a 2009 Subaru Legacy wagon, someone the other day called him a lesbian; I didn't know that was a thing.

Maybe something in the GM lineup, Equinox or Trailblazer.

100k on our 2020 Ody and 400k on the FIL's 2016 Ody. No problems with either.

The only car I ever bought brand new was our 2001 Odyssey. We had it for 12 years / almost 400,000 kms, so lots of life left in yours if you rustproof it (mine wasn't, and still didn't show any body rust by then). You'll never fully appreciate its practicality until it's gone. We thought the MDX would be a good replacement, but had to buy a motorcycle trailer and it still can't carry as much. Needed to rent a UHaul small enclosed trailer to move my daughter's apartment contents that would have fit in the Odyssey.

Good point. Just drove in my friends Subaru Ascent and were considering it as an option.

FYI I've done that door cable job on my sister's van, same side too, if you have any questions

Odyclub wsa good resource for DIY on my 2001, presumably same for all years. My sliding door cable never broke, but the rollers disintegrated. Odyclub had a DIY using 50 cent plastic spacers from a hardware store, and removing the door was pretty easy by myself using a floor jack to act as a helping hand. Might as well check them if you're in there fixing the cable.
