hi guys,

so i just did my winter maintenance over the weekend. However, when i was changing the oil, i noticed that i bought the 4-stroke motor oil for motorcycles, but it had no mention of 10w-40 as specified in the service manual. Do you guys know if this is ok or if 4-stroke unintentionally means that it is a 10w-40 motor oil ? Thanks in advance !

That's strange. Usually, all oils have the mention and it can't be missed. Most motorcycle oils here come in 10w40 anyways so I am assuming you are fine. Not trying to offend you or anything, what oil did you buy?Where did you get it? Why did you buy cheap oil?

Usually people buy cheap oil in the winter to change it in the spring, but some just put good oil before winter.

10W40 as stated in the manual. Just make sure the oil you chose is one of the approved API grades. PS your engine is a 4 stroke. ;)

PS it's too early to put the bike away! We still have more time!!! MORE TIME!!!

normally I'd agree, but they have already converted our nice paved roads to sand and salt up here.

I put mine away Saturday. didn't really want to, but 20,000km for the season is pretty good i guess.
