Not sure about "need". Don't really "want" one either, but it's (Z06) growing on me. If it had a manual transmission, it'd be a no brainer.

Huh? Flat plane crank. Cross plane sounds great at idle. Flat plane sounds great wound out.

That's an old one.
Latest version has the tuned exhaust that exits in the centre (where it's supposed to) via quad pipes similar to the C7.
